I know the 6.0s will play nice, not sure about a 6.4. I assume no. Replacing blown out LH manifold gasket and half the parts are off. Thanks for any info!

I think you actually can. You'll have a big wrench check engine light on all the time though. I'm not sure about a limp. I know when I was running spartan tuning I could tow in the 210tow with no egr delete tunes in it and it would be fine. Just had the check engine light on.

Doesn't it depend on whether you leave the factory elbow on and plugged in or replace the elbow with aftermarket to how the truck responds? CEL vs Limp mode?

It should just go straight into limp. I think it goes for an hour or something like that. Could be wrong.

i think it goes 10 miles or so. when testing the first set of blockoff's (that i know of) it would run fine for just a lil while then limp.

According to ford it should go into limp the moment you try to start it them stay in limp for an hour or something like that. I may have heard or misinterpreted when it was told to me by ford.

i had an 08 with a full egr delete and no tune at all. All it had was a check engine light. no other side affects and no wrench or limp.

i have an xrt pro in the classifieds for sale if he wants.

Are you sure it was limping from the block off or was it limping from the a$$ beating you gave it and the rods being slightly crooked?:D

Thanks all, appreciate the info! Sootie, trying to get some funds organized for tuner. Buddy's truck and he doesn't have the money for a tuner now.
