Cluster Radio Power Windows all Inop

This has become more and more of an issue as these truck age and rack up the miles because they are great work trucks. One issue you may come across at one time or another is an all out dead or intermittent operation of the cluster, then at the same time you notice the radio is out and so is the power windows. In my new video I explain what its all about, your options and finally how to swap the cluster out yourself. What if just windows and radio doesn't turn On until maybe 5-10 mins of runtime

If yours is one of those models years then yeas it's your cluster. The cluster blanking out or sweeping happens more down the line when more of the cluster fails, the relay is first usually and that outputs from the cluster for the radio and power windows as those are powered by the acc delay relay and the acc delay relay is powered by the batt saver relay in cluster. you will hear it clicking on and off.

I have an 02. My cluster has never had an issue. Couldnt this also be the GEM?

Not likely as the controls have been moved to the cluster starting in 2002.

I have a intermediate problem with my cluster, but radio and windows work. Sometimes when I crank truck cluster will not read like in video. The check gauge and check engine lights are on but all the other gauge are flat lined. But if I turn off and restart they all work fine. There is no rhyme or reason to when it will happen.

Could it be the relay you are referring to in video? You wouldn't have a video of the cluster internals to show the relay you're talking about.

Yes in your situation it is still the cluster, no I have not ever had the chance to get into the cluster board where the relays are the rebuilder always want them back so.

Do these same issues also apply to an 06? i just had this problem start with mine. Blew a fuse changing the dome lights replaced the fuse now windows and head unit are both out.
