Coolant Filter

Can a guy install an inline coolant filter in a coolant hose ? Like a heater hose ? Kinda like a remote oil filter ?

Yes you can and that is the way that quite a few have done it.

Just note that the coolant filter setups are setup to run in a bypass mode. Only part of the flow is "drawn off" and filtered. If the filter was just plumbed fully in line, the flow rate through that line would drop, especially when the filter starts plugging. Cheers!

I got my coolant filter from Diesel Site and it is a bypass type filter set up. It feeds off a fitting on the drivers side of the water pump below the thermostat housing and then back into the radiator through the small line from the degas bottle.
