My stock temp gauge has always been a mystery to me. It reads very hot at start up & then drops to very cold after several miles. How do these things work & What's the best replacement to get consistant & accurate temps ? Thx !

The stock ford gauges are very vague. If you want a more accurate reading I would install a aftermarket water temp gauge.

Thx. I was hoping for a specific brand that has proven reliable. I keep things for decades, like my truck ;)
