Then do the same with the sides and watch the steering knuckles. You will be able to tell if the joints are gone. If everything checks out lower the truck back down and go drive down the block and back. Get a couple pieces of flat plate or wood to hold flare against the tires. Or you could pick the same lugs on the front tires in the front and backside. Measure the distance from drive to passenger side. The numbers should be the same or the front should be a little less. Smaller front is toe in. I would try 1/8" less and see what you like. Reason is when driving the front tires will try and pull out.
