Cracked block evidence

Oiling down the track racing something you KNOW is wounded is kind of a dick move, and can be pretty dangerous if it wings oil all over the track under your rear wheels.

I said the block is cracked...not that it has a window in it. The truck doesn't leak any fluids onto the pavement. A drag strip is meant to go all out, as safely as possible. Would you rather me take it to the streets and setup drag races on public highways? I'd much rather something happen at the track where they have equipment and methods of cleaning the debris.

Point I was trying to make is if it DOES window the motor, coolant and oil flying out and under drive wheels at high rates of speed usually means you're going to have a bad time.

And yes, they have the equipment to clean up the mess if it spits its guts out, but it delays racing, and typically gets almost everyone at the track upset with you.

well i doubt colton has any plan of doing anything like that, the blocks dont window with slight cracks that mix fluids, and he has the integrity to respect the track for others guaranteed.

but yes many dummies do such things and have no regard for others. ive seen many many oil downs, ill take those delays any day over a wreck. the owner is respnsible, but we all know interior oil leaks are not prone to oil downs. oil downs happen every race. ive been guilty as well, pulling off to the side immediately is the most courteous thing a driver can do.

anyway , back on topic, get some colton , good luck !!!

Would you rather have a few guys upset that they can make a few passes or a 20 car pile up delaying traffic for hours and putting lives at risk? Closed course competition is meant for instances where a motor can potentially scatter.

If we're worried about oiling down the track anything over stock shouldn't be allowed on the track.

Looking forward to some big results, Colton. Good luck.

Garrett

Put blue devil in the truck this morning and it seems to be helping quiet a bit. It's no longer drinking coolant, just sipping it.

As for the track, we were a little disappointed when we found out they were only running 1/8th mile instead of 1/4 mile which they always do. Couldn't spool past 5 psi and ended up launching at 2-2200rpms. 60ft took a big hit from the low boost start. 2.0 60ft. Then right as I would pass the light the charger would get choked out from too much fuel. From what I've seen on the street, once the charger hits 10lbs and stays above 2500rpms, it builds full boost almost instantly. Ended up only running a 7.88 at 89mph. First pass was a 9.2. Didn't spray tonight because I didn't want to chance an oil down while they were running 4-5 second cars in a big bracket race. Overall the truck ran pretty well for not building boost as fast as it needed. Changing the stall on the converter before worlds to see if I can't spool it a little better.

Sucks to hear you were having trouble tonight.

Did you qualify for worlds at Ennis?

Glad to hear the Blue Devil is buying you some time. I know it would really suck to get my truck back together and have to go through what you have gone through. Good luck and getting her dialed in for World's.

Thanks guys.

David, no I didn't qualify. Got to Ennis too late. Trams had been out of the truck up until the night before. I'll just be running TNT at worlds.
