Sorry clicked your quote by mistake, was trying to quote

The heavier/thicker the material the more heat it actually retains. The thinner material will dissipate heat quicker

You are correct. But is also has to do with material used. I am sure you guys or the intercooler from No Limit is not the same material as the stock one. So with a different material say steel to aluminum you could go thicker and it would dissipate heat quicker than a thinner steal.

Bar and plate is where it's at.
Most of the time yes but not always. The pure mass of a bar and plate can pull more heat out of the charged air than a tube and fin of the same size but a bar and plate will take longer to recover (cool back down) because of that same mass. There is a lot of science to it including air flow restriction to the radiator and other aspects to consider. Generally a properly designed bar and plate is the way to go.

Whats a bar and plate and whats a tube and fin?
