custom tail lights

so im wanting to take apart a set of led tail lights and paint to match. There are a couple forums about doing this with headlights which i did and love but does anyone have any directions and/or tips that would help? i know its more difficult but im guessing it can be done since people are doing it. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good luck. i tried 2 sets for my truck, cracked both sets. The reason Plain n Simple can do them is because he has a contract with recon that he is the only builder that gets them unsealed from recon. they have a weird way of sealing them that i could never undo without cracking them. maybe if you are super careful, and patient, but idk.

yea i called recon today and they wouldnt sell me a set unsealed lol
