Dead Accelerator

Every now and then the accelerator doesn't work when accelerating from a stop or, in one case, when going up a hill and pushing for more power. It will begin to work then suddenly drop out. Repeatedly pushing the pedal doesn't really work, but sometimes it seems to because it will suddenly act like the truck again. I replaced the Accelerator and I still have the problem. I think it is electrical and don't have any idea where to look.

It should throw a code, but may not turn on the check engine light. So check for codes first.

Could certainly be a bad PCM. Seem to only happen when driving or if the truck sits a few days? Or you just never know?
