When I ran mine on gearheads race file, it down shifted the first time because i stomped on it. The guy gave me alittle advice, started at 60, slowly rolled in and was wide open at 75, stopped the downshift. Made decent numbers for 37's. Ran out to 3600, the graph was falling off by then. Innovative has a dyno lock trans tune.

Agreed, and now I know better. You would think a diesel shop with their own dyno would know better how to run the dyno and the trucks.

That would be somewhere around 130mph, haha. I wish there was a way to lock out the OD on these trucks. I was also starting to worry about the EBP since it was pushing 72psi gauge when I let off. What's your opinion on a practical limit with a stock HP turbo and stage 1 valvetrain?

There is a way to lock it out.... you can get an option of OD delete when in tow/haul or have a dyno only trans file.

611/1092 on a DynoJet, pretty much spot on with SPARTAN/Jeff's 612/1126 run 3 trucks before me.

(Lack of) problem solved, haha.

Glad to hear that you got your dyno "issue" solved. Both your numbers and Jeff's seem low (I think Jeff dynoed in the 640s before with same setup except the he now running the RCD TC instead of the SC)...it is amazing what a difference each dyno's results are.

Jeff just bumped up to 35s. I think his last dyno was on 33s. There's one other truck here with a 71 atmo on 35s that put down 615, so we're all pretty spot on. Tire size and weight makes a bigger difference than I thought it would.

No doubt, I forgot that he went bigger on tires.

Stock turbo 6.4 with just tunes, delete & fresh hpop put down 613 on factory tires. He said the set of factory tires weigh about as much as 1 35" Nitto... makes me want to find a set of light weight tires and run em just to see what it does, haha

From our previous conversation....I am not sure what the other trucks setups were running the 71 (besides Jeff's)...and not that this is why you do the upgraded valvetrain, but were the trucks similar enough to say if the valvetrain upgrade increased your HP running the 71 by keeping the valves from floating?

The 4 trucks running upgraded stock turbos ranged from 598-614. Three trucks all had the Elite 71mm and made within 4 horsepower of each other. Brad's made 610 with Gearhead's race, my truck made 612 with our 310, and another 6.4 made 614 with IDP's race tune. Brad's truck has 6.0 manis, modded up-pipes, and the upgraded valvetrain. My truck and the other 6.4 have all stock in that aspect. The other truck did have a BatMoWheel high pressure wheel.

The truck that made 598 had Industrial turbos and a custom KEM 345 tune.

Good to hear they're that consistent!
