I know its one of those questions where everyone is gonna say
H&S and delete but I'm not able to afford it.I was given an edge
Evo cts brand new I wanna try it out till summer time when I
can get my H&S and deletes (if I can find one ) im really worried
about clogging up the DPF. Does anybody have any experience
they could share. I ran edge on my 6.0 till I got my sct, I liked it
sct was awesome though. I dont have a heavy foot and by no means
drive like a hotrod. This wpuld also let me compare to an H&S down the
road. :poke:

from my experience its not really woth it, you do pick up a fair amount of power on the bottom end from a tuner but the top end is less than desirable. 0-50 is a decent gain but 50-100 honestly feels about the same. IMHO not worth clogging or cracking the dpf over.

Contact KEM, Mike will take care of you without causing any clogging or cracking or any other ill side effects.

just leave it stock till you can get the right stuff done to it. edge stuff kinda sucks. if you can use it just to monitor parameters or whatever for now do that but leave it in stock settings. its not worth messing up your new truck.

With KEM I need to have an H&S product already right?
Maybe I can find an xrt for a decent price n use the evo
For my gauges then ,and it wouldn't cost 1500 $

What about the SPE SCT Tuner that has three of their tunes on it? I've read good things about their tunes but haven't seen anyone running it. I'd like the H&S but 1800 bucks is step for some tunes.

$1800 is a lot but H&S tuners aren't going to get any cheaper anytime soon. I'd get one sooner then later before the next price increase.

What's the advantages of the H&S over the SPE and SCT combo? I don't plan on deleting anytime soon so it's hard to justify an extra grand if SPE is just as good.

One last question on my mind. Will it hurt anything besides the DPF
If it does clog or crack it,id just be forced to do the delete then correct?
If its damaged due to edge do I just buy delete kit and install and go
With it or do I need to have the stealership service it first??
(I never seem to have money for stuff I want , but always find money for stuff I
have to have.):bowfast:

Also would be cool to know how to post pics to my thread so I can ppst up this truck

I havnt dug into it a ton because im not in a hurry to tune mine but from guys I know personally without tunes and bone stock the guys on the boards here with non deleted tunes, they are all having the same issues with or without tunes... as in dpf clogging up or cracking tuned and not tuned... the way I take it is it will either clog or it wont, with or without tunes..

live life full throttle
