Early or late 04 6.0?

How do I know if I have an early or late 04 6.0 psd? I hear you can look at the egr cooler and if the tube is bent it's late and straight is early idk. Dates on door jam?

There should be a big sticker on the PS valve cover with the model year engine it is, if it's not there, look to see if your EGR cooler is round, if it's round, it's an 03 03 1/2 motor, if it's square, it's an 04 motor..

The 03 cooler is actually way better than the square cooler..

Icp sensor in the valve cover is late.

Also if you look at the passenger side valve cover right behind the glow plug module if there is a sensor (ICP) located there it is a late 04, early 04's it is located under the turbo, if memory serves

Of course i had to go out and look right now haha.. thats wierd because my door jam sticker says 12/03.. I never would have guessed it would be considered late 04

The sticker says 04 on the motor and the door jamb says 10/03. Is it a late?

Idk yet. Haven't been out there. Got back from movie then went to bed

When my hpop blew the little ball out the side I got the revised stc kit and when I tore down to it I discovered there was no stc, early 04 6.0. I also had the early 6.0 hpop. By the way save your $$$ if this ever happens to you and just get a 1/4" plug and tap that hole the ball blew out of and insert plug. more better than replacing the entire hpop like several people do.

No you have a late 04, if the ICP sensor is in the valve cover it is a late 04

Did they make the late 6.0 with the early HPOP and no STC fitting?
