Welp, that one lasted 700 mi. At the track last night and on the second pass I lost all movement. Codes were P0751, P0766, P2700, P2703.

Hey man, I was going through the same type of stuff. I went through 4 transmissions in 4 months on the 450. Different case every time. Metal in the trans, TCs all were getting crushed. Snapped an intermediate, AND crushed the TC... Only thing that I did not replace was the TCM... Everything else was replaced. Cooler, every time I swapped trans, different TCs, even the last one was a STOCK TC with no shift kit. Mine never threw a code, like a bad TCM or anything. And I was only in the 500-600 hp range on the 450.

I say try a new TCM.

I thought about that after the last time. I thought this time it was good, but it again proved me wrong. What does a TCM cost? Does it have to be tuned any special way to install it?

I'd just call Sunrise Ford on here. As far as install, I would imagine that Wayne or other mechs on here can chime in as far as installation procedures, and I would imagine, tuning options. Prob just take it to a dealer with the stock tune loaded, just to get the Factory Ford Flash on a new TCM... IDK, my fix for my phucked up trans was a 2013 F-350.... LOL

Will a Spartan TCM work even if you are not Spartan ECM tuned. I remember seeing one in classifieds but not sure if that could be an option or not.

I blew my tranny with just a tune, ford replaced it two days later it blew again, replaced it and a month later it blew again, everytime ford installed a new cooler. I guess they got tired of it and did some investigating and turned out my tcm was bad. seems like your only thing that hasent been replaced yet

I know my trans was actively working its way out prior to the build so I have a new cooler and lines for the trans build. After hearing the issues with you and corb I wonder if throwing a fresh tcm in would be a proactive move.

Supposedly this isn't related to the TCM. Its just a bad ground somewhere. I guess there is a service bulletin on it somewhere. That being said, I'm still swapping the TCM. I want this to be the last time.
