Just to make sure i am doing this correctly with all the egt reading problems for the 15-16's. Getting ready to purchase an edge cs monitor to read vitals- i assume i need to purchase the edge egt probe?(i will get the expandable probe in case i add other sensors at a later date).
Install the edge probe in the block off plate and remove the existing oem egt probe that is currently in there. By unplugging the oem egt probe will this set off a code? I will basically just have another egt sensor molex plug tucked away correct? Thanks

Correct. Edge probe in the plate. Make sure the tip is down below the plate or it will read cool.

Thank you. Will the truck set a code with the oem egt probe unplugged and discarded?

I wouldn't think it would. Even if it does, plug it back in and tie it off to the side.
