I hate threads like this. If you wanna build something do some research first. Coming on here saying oh I wanna build something but I have no idea what or what parts I'm gonna use whatsoever, just tells me your nit ready to build.

Carry on.

Thanks for the help Richard!

Thanks guys. I have done some research. What I have read is saying the ported intake and heads will help more for a street truck.

Ported manifolds do work. So do ported heads. As long as they are built by a knowledgable shop. There is some junk out there, like anything else. I'd read the links I posted first before you make your decision. I'd hate to see you be a chapter in the book "Wish I knew then, what i know now". Best of luck

The stock short block won't live long at 800hp, maybe not even a few passes. I suggest Carrillos or RCD rods. Build from the bottom up.

Carrillos/RCD CR's
ARP Main studs
Ported heads
Proper block machine work
Pistons with valve reliefs and bowl work
Ported Intake Manifold from Doug, Steve, Elite
300cc Injectors with supporting oil (depending on Hybrid, conventional, and who builds them)
Pushrods, valve springs
And all of the supporting goodies for the injectors, etc.

As for Turbo(s), depends on your preferences.

That sounds like the ticket after seeing the mpd carnage.

Rods hypermax carillo
Arp head studs
Modded intake manifold
Steed speed exhaust manifolds
S466 so you can pull in your local 2.6 class
285cc hybrids so you can use stock oil
Put a 44mm gate in for when you spray (on spray with this setup you should be 8-900hp depends on tunning)
I recommend Eric@innovative diesel
NADP trans with there in house custom converter

The problem with your build is gonna be dependent on what sled pulling class you run

Don't waste your money on main studs. I run stock

Running the Full Pull circuit, your already bumped to the 2.6 for not having the original engine. Might aswell make it a 2.6 puller :naughty:
