I am not a huge fan of bashing a company on a public forum for a personal grudge. I DO think that we as customers owe it to one another to pass on stories of bad service, so as to keep others from making the same mistake, etc.. All too often, we hear about "this company screwed me over", or "I ordered this part, and it took 10 times longer to get than promised" etc.... Whenever I get something positive, I feel that we should post that up too...

I was on the fence about posting anything about my DPC Converter chitting the bed after a week, as I felt that just because "I" had a bad experience, that so many had a positive experience, that mine was probably an isolated incident. I think that I mentioned it in a thread, but I never made it into a "bitching" thread...

I am now telling everyone that my DPC converter in the 450 self destructed. Stock trans, 71 mm atmo, and stock fuel with 4.30 gears. Needless to say, that I was not happy... I know that this TC has handled upwards of 1,000 hp, and was pissed when my paltry 550 hp truck ripped it apart...

However, I just learned that Phil has gone out of his way, to make this right. He shipped a new one to me, AND included almost $400 discount, so as to pay for the R&R of my trans by Aaron's boys... I wholeheartedly believe that mine was an isolated incident, and will use that DPC TC in my 250 when I upgrade to a stage 4 trans...

GOOD customer service would have sent me a new one, and maybe even paid the shipping cost...

GREAT customer service is sending a new one, paying the shipping, AND paying the labor for removing the busted product, and replacing it with a new one, which is what I got from Phil Taylor...

Thanks a ton guys!

Phil is "that guy" that stands behind his products. I am glad you got another DPC going in as they are very good converters. Thanks for the heads up Corb.

Phil took care of mine after I toasted it in a short period of time - Phil @ DPC is top notch no doubt and I am still a huge believer in his products!
