Would a 64/68/.83 be to tight to run on a 7.3? I just took the old turbo off my old truck and thats what it was
Or is the preferred size .91? Has anyone in the 7.3 world tried a fmw series turbo? 62?64? I put one on my old truck fmw62 and it out performed that 64 in every way shape possible

I'm running a 64mm fmw with 68 turbine and a 1.00 housing .
With my 175/80 injectors it works great .
If you are running stock fuel you might get away with the .83 but I'm perty sure that is a T3 housing so it wouldn't work anyway.

No, the .83 is a t4 housing, but way tight for a 7.3. Either need the .91 or 1.0 depending on fueling.

. All the 6.0 powerstroke guys run them on there 362fmw turbos and they are all T3. I guess maybe you can get both T3 or T4 in .83??

Never mind lol
Brain fart! !
I stand corrected , T4 it is .
Actually there is a internally gated .83 t4 housing that might work.
Mmmmmmm

The Cummins guys run t3 6.0 and 6.4 run t4. I had the t4 s364 on my 6.0 I was just curious because every 7.3 turbo thread says s366 or basb or h2e.. I know for fact the fmw64.5 out flows the 366 . the fmw62 is a nice little charger

So it would have to be a .91 or 1.0?

I know there good chargers. But before I do something I like to read up and see how they perform. I have a free 64mm t4 in my living room that's why I'm asking 64/68/.83

Still torn from a diy66 from Barder or a t4 set up.. :/ its not a race truck I just want to clean up smoke and have it be responsive. Did they ever fix the down pipe issue on the t4 kits?

With the 1.0 housing or stock one? And have the tuner pull some fuel out down low so its not laggy and hot? Is it really that much better then the d66? I read alot of posts on it.

Yes the s300 is way better then the d66
If you truly want a clean responsive truck then you will be disappointed with a d66

You could run either. I kick myself in the ass now for not doing the gated 1.0. Did the 1.15 to try and help control BP with the 200 nozzles on mine.

I will be changing mine to T4 shortly, but that's to get everything out of my setup. The barder was my best option when I put this truck on the road.

It is but it isn't a d66.. From what I read he made his own design and from what people said it performs better then the d66.

As far as t4 mounts do they all come with down pipes? And are they a biotch to fit like the irate kit?

I build my own t4 kits, but the down pipes I've always built on the fly so to speak so I don't have fitment issues.
