think you answered your own question. rather be safe than sorry. its a cheaper alternative than getting custom manifolds. i know up pipes arent cheap but hey you can pick up 6.0 manifolds for under 50 bucks. as far as if they flow more vs stock that would be bonus.

I knew that part of the question. But it seems like a lot of people are under the impression there a big upgrade for flow. Maybe there is?

I saw where somebody has posted some flow numbers between the 2. It was over a year ago so I don't remember details but I was thinking there was a moderate improvement with non-ported 6.0s. It was only bench flow numbers, not HP.

Non ported. Not much of a gain with porting them for what it would cost.
