Factory 2012+ HU in 2005 will it fit

I have an 05 w/ the steering wheel controls. I was wondering if the nav unit out of a newer 2012 unit will work???

I found a few on ebay, factory take outs that have the touch screen, dvd, BT nav unit w/ the included antenaa and BT mic. For the price it would be a decent upgrade over the 05 radio plus I can integrate the factory steering wheel controls.

Anyone know if it will work???

He doesn't have any more but considering the 09 unit went for 250 and the 2012 unit sold for 665 it's a great deal if you want factory stuff. BTW, he never answered his emails, as an "installer" he should be able to answer this question.

There is a guy on here by the username mptonyt, that I bought my head unit and stuff from. He really seemed to know his stuff. Profile says he hasn't been on in awhile but might be worth a shot.

This can be done. I have recently installed 09+ nav in my 08 with sync as well. Check out this link to a company that sells everything required.

If you can get the head unit for cheap that is half the battle, all the harnesses add up quick.
