FICM tune lock/unlock

I have an FICM tuner from IDP and I plan on selling it to my friend. If he plugs it in to tune his truck, will it lock out? if so how much is it to unlock it?

Then it's locked and you won't be able to remove the tune on your ficm.

i can't remove it now lmao it only gives me the selection of inductive heating or performance. not stock

Did you have a hard tuned FICM then you bought the FICM tuner??

Seeing as I had this same issue you need to contact PHP. Bill was able to reset the FICM tuner. This will unmarry the FICM tuner but you will not be able to use it on your FICM. You will be able to use it on any other non-hard tuned FICM.

I have the Gryphon and it appears that you can run it on any truck, but it will only tune one at a time I'm guessing. I bought it used and it worked fine on mine.
