I installed a 468 on my truck today and have a quick question.

Are there any tips or tricks to tighten the top, drivers side nut for the t4 collector to the exhaust housing? I just can't seem to get back there to tighten it real good.

I made a custom wrench for it. When I say made I really mean cut and bent an extra one so I could make it work

I installed the exhaust housing on the collector before putting it in the truck. Only works the 1st time cause if I want to swap housings, I'm going to have to pull it all again.

Took a little while, but I got it this afternoon. Ended up making my own stubby wrenches and then getting it as tight as I could with them. After I ran out of torque with the short wrench I put it on there one more time and got a shaft and a hammer to tap it a little tighter.

Here's a pic of my modified wrenches.

I'm pretty sure when I did this I tightened it with stubbed but was not satisfied with it. I loosened the bolts to the t4 mount, loosened the up pipes, then removed the comp housing. Or at least that's how I remember it lol

That's what we tried initially but couldn't get the compressor housing on. In hindsight we should have loosened up the collector to the base plate and the up pipes from the manifolds. Oh well. It's in there now and nice and snug.

Gotcha. Now I know for the next install. That was really the only hard part of the install.

Now I'm trying to tweak te intake so it fits in there better

Pics of it installed? I have everything waiting to do mine. everything but the time. how long would you say you had in the whole project?

Hard to say. I installed a new engine plus did a fuel system at the same time.

I'll get some better pics when I get home.
