A friend of mine just did a full flush and put fleetcharge sca precharged coolant in. He does have a coolant filter, but was this a bad choice? What are the dangers of this if any?

That's what we put in my 7.3 last coolant change. Have some to go in my bro's 6.0 as well. It's an ELC coolant right?

Then it should be good. Any ELC is what I've heard, just stay away from the "works with everything" coolants.

Make sure the coolant filter does not have SCA tablets in it also, but otherwise you should be fine.

I find it entertaining that Ford trucks plug oil coolers, but our 466's and 530's at work don't and the cooler body is of a very very similar design.

Only difference is the coolant and it's location.

International trucks use that red ELC like you're describing.

It would be interesting to put that antifreeze in a 6.0 from day one and see if it plugs the cooler.
