Hello army!

I need a few second opinions before I start down the next rabbit hole.

Story behind truck: Bought from a negligent owner who performed no maintenance. Oil leaking everywhere. 350K on dial. No idea on what if any parts were changed.

Here is what I did to correct the truck before we get to the point:
  1. Rebuilt turbo (360 bearing, WW, new 1.0 ex housing)
  2. Turbo pedestal with delete and resistor in plug.
  3. New bellowed up pipes
  4. New IPR, new ICP (ford or equivalent)
  5. New LPOP
    1. Reservoir was slowly bleeding down overnight
    2. Cleaned everything, cleaned check ball in block under housing
    3. New gaskets for oil reservoir housing, HPOP, and fuel filter housing
  6. CNC line kit as well for HPOP
  7. 6.0 intercooler, new boots, all cleaned
  8. PCV reroute to filter and reinstalled back to intake
  9. Oil Cooler rebuild (ford parts)
  10. Coolant flush
  11. Oil change 15w40
  12. Bypass oil cooler installed as well (Amsoil)
Now what is happening....

No boost/Low boost - like nothing, at WOT I might see 5 lbs occasionally, but I have to really force it (like a race car). Takes over 1/2 mile to even get that much at WOT
She idles well, no surging, no loping.
Bit of a hard start, way better after I replaced LPOP, verified oil in reservoir

The truck DOES report a P1211, but nothing else.

Here is additional troubleshooting I performed:
  • Verified oil level in resoivior
  • Verified fuel pressure (riff raff gold spring) is showing 75PSI, on list to change to silver
    • Test also performed under load and WOT, no change 75 PSI
    • Should also rule out tank issues (although I do have a frame mounted filter no debris)
  • Pressure tested charge side of turbo fixed any leaks, intercooler good.
Based on the troubleshooting, chart, and research here is what I am thinking.....

  1. Map sensor is bad, value should be changing some
  2. Possible bad oil?
  3. P1211 Could be a ton of things but
    1. leaning towards weak HPOP
    2. possible bad injector O rings, oil bleeding past?
Let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance,

NitroJoe

Icp is super low, have you tried running it with it unplugged? You could have a harness/pigtail issue. You also say ford or equivalent, was it ford or was it a pricier aftermarket who knows the quality one?

Also, if it’s got 350k on it and wasn’t taken care of, injectors could be flat wore out. Possible with the pump as well.

IPR was from RiffRaff, ICP I think from Blessed, not 100% on that one.

I'll try with it unplugged. Injectors have passed all the IDM tests and buzz 'seems' ok.

I have a spare set of injectors and pump but not sure their condition either, its a crap shot unless I send both out which is $$$.
