Getting back into the 7.3 game mainly because I'm looking at getting a 4dr long bed truck that can keep miles off my 6.7 and can tow it to/from the strip.
Just do happened to stumble upon a 97 crew cab long bed 4x4 with 260k miles.

Seller Informed me that both tanks and all straps along with fuel lines are only a year old.
But he thinks there's a small pin hole between the front tank and the strap. Naturally in the bottom side. So he's running only on rear tank.

I'm planning on dropping the tank and patching the hole.
But what can I put between the straps and tank to keep from puncturing another hole?

Ive had decent luck with bicycle tubes as all the aftermarket straps dont come with rubber. Done the tube thing on 3 or 4 customers trucks with no ossues.

This might be too late, but I have an oem tank you can have out of an arizona truck at 60185 in IL. It is full of nasty old diesel, but the tank is perfect.

OK cool. I have the rear tank and fuel lines for a crew cab front to back as well. Trying to sell them cheap on craigslist. But would give them away to someone that needs it. Hate to throw the stuff in the dumpster.

Sorry, no shipping. Come get the (full of nasty fuel) fuel tank for free.
