I have been chasing down a new clunk for the past few months. It ended up being a loose bed mount bolt. Just sharing for one more thing to check if you’re chasing down these random noises. These trucks have been rattling down the road for over 20 years, it’s been bound to happen.

Eight years since my last update, the popping and clunk returned. It has ended up being the fender bolts again and the fiber shims have finally deteriorated enough after 29 years. I replaced them with plastic shims and all is good again. You can source the shims at vendors like Complete Performance or even makers on Etsy.
