Just wondering how much interest there might be for guys wanting to get rid of the fuel cooler system on their engine. The kit would require install of the air dog assist kit. It would include new fuel lines to eliminate the upper fuel cooler, and new coolant lines with a "splice" block to use regular engine coolant to cool the VGT actuator. We would add a new fuel cooler as seen in the pic below, and would have mounting hardware and needed fuel lines & fittings. This would allow removal of the entire stock fuel cooler system.

It's not something we currently offer, but are doing on an engine we're installing in a customer's '05 super duty here>> http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28564
If there's enough interest, we could easily put together a kit. Hoping to gauge interest here.

I'd be intrested, but I would also be worried about the cooler getting all sorts of crap into it. I'm off the road quite a bit and constantly driving in the woods and would feel better if it had a guard or something to stop a stick/branch from causing damage. I understand this is something I could probably make up, but it always makes life easier when it's included in the kit.... and makes for another selling point for you guys. :)

In case it isn't clear in the pic, the cooler is mounted inside the frame rail in front of the fuel tank. It's fairly well protected there, but I'm sure if we offered it as a kit, we could provide an optional rock guard for those worried about it.

Yeah madman, the cooler is in the return line.

Would your fuel go to 200* like mine does? Biggest mistake I ever made.

No. The point of the kit would be to simplify & clean up the engine bay by moving the fuel cooling system to the frame. I have a strong suspicion that the reason your fuel temps got rediculously hot is because the airdog assist regulator was set higher than the airdog regulator, keeping the fuel at the engine from returning to the tank. Now that we've adjusted your regulators, if it's been getting dangerously hot still, we'll have to either put all that stock stuff back on, or add a cooler like in the pic I posted at the start of this thread.

I'm sure we could offer a cold weather bypass thermostat for those in cold weather. Even if we didn't, it wouldn't be hard to block off air flow through the cooler with a simple shield. Not ideal, but do-able. Thanks for the input. I'm sure if we release a kit, we'll at minimum have it as an option.

Awesome, I would definitely be up for that! Would the cooler fit a SCLB 4x4?
I was doing mine when I had my CCSB but never got around to finishing the cooler part of it.
I liked mine when I did it but it wasn't ideal for trucks running dual pumps and what not.

This should be compatible for trucks running dual pumps. I'll have to check all the cab/bed configurations, but I believe the way it is set up on the truck in the picture will work with all other cab/bed options except the cab/chassis setups.

We built another one for testing and we are actively working on a kit now. Based on our current schedule I would say late may availability.
