Fuel Filter

Has anyone been working on a better fuel filter set up for our trucks? I was looking at the duramax conversion to a cat filter for my dads dmax. I didn't know if anyone was making a set up like that capable of removing the two filter setup. HINT HINT.

Only issue with the 6.7 filter system is its low tolerance for water in the fuel. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Yeah, and there are quite a few solutions out there INCLUDING a Cat single filter system for 6.7. When I'm not busy I'll post the link for op.

The one I posted works with 6.7 fuel systems though. And are you talking a lift pump/filtration unit, or the filter at the engine? H&S makes an awesome kit for that!!!

The filters for th dmax conversion look to be $27 and the conversion $129.

I like my powerstroke a lot more then my dad's duramax. I just don't like the filter setup. Might try h&s kit, does it filter better?

You won't find anything that filters much better than the factory filters. They filter really fine particles and therefore need regular attention, and they aren't cheap.

I put an airdog 4g low pressure pump on my truck and it feeds the factory pump, now I don't have to change the factory filters as much and the airdog filters have a much longer interval because of the size of the filters.

The H&S kit filters probably about the same as stock but uses cheaper filters and you can mount them where you like so they are easier to change.
