Fuel Fittings for the high pressure pump on duel fuelers

Does anyone know if you can reuse the special fittings that go into the HPFP that the low pressure system hooks to on a duel fueler setup? I have noticed a fuel leak around the front pump and looks like it is coming from one of these fittings. :wtf:I noticed it this morning when it was nice and cold here and truck sat outside for the night. After letting idel in the driveway there was a small puddle of fuel on the driveway. Werid thing is after it gets warmed up, it does not leak or that is the way it seems as of right now. Enlighten me with some of your wisdom fella's. Thanksopcorn:

Yes sir. As long as they don't get over torqued, you're fine. Put an 1/8 turn on it and I bet it quits leaking.

should be ok, its just standard an line on the fittings, is it leaking where the hose goes in or where the fitting goes into the pump?

I will know more in the morning as I will start up the truck and get right down by the pump to see where exactly it is coming from. I belive that it is coming from where the fitting and pump meet and not where the line meets the fitting.

Possible crack as well. I sent a couple out to a member not too long ago for that. I would go with what they have already said though. Loosen hose. 1/8th turn and retighten line and you are hopefully good

i think i remember something similar in Erik's build thread the night before DPC...

That was his lines and not the fitting. Wayne had had them on and off just one too many times and the line had just worn out.

ive had the fitting that screws into the pump leak before. fuel would wick up past the threads.

but this was for the steel banjo fitting for the stock line. (brand new pump) i pull the fitting out, cleaned the threads and pump fitting bore, then put medium strength loctite. (blue) tightned down the fitting.

all was good. if you are using aluminum an fittings? i would not use loctite. you could snap the fitting off if you ever needed to remove it again.

use thread sealer.

Exactly what Colton and I did when his Elite fitting backed off and sprayed fuel everywhere. Has been perfect since.
