Garrett GT40

Does anyone know what applications the Garrett GT40 comes in from factory, if any? Ol' Google is letting me down tonight. It's a bigger turbo so I'm thinking its gotta be almost a medium duty. Could this be a junkyard alternative to our gt37?

any drop in charger with a gt40 series turbine is built for a duramax. They only offer a gt37 series charger for the 6.0. Barders Turbo service on here sells a modified 6.0 VGT turbochargers using gt40 parts if thats what youre looking for. Or you can get a gt40 series non vgt and build a kit.

No, the gt37 is available on the duramax, 2004.5 to 2011. Different variations tho, all of them having bigger compressor wheels than the 6.0. So far I've found that some gt40s came on International DT466s. Still looking into it, I think the smallest gt40 comes with a 64.7mm compressor wheel. I'm hoping, with a little work, that these compressor sides can bolt onto the GT37, making some kind of hybrid that can be sourced from a wreckers

Actually, the GT4088VA that was installed in the DT466s comes with a much smaller compressor inducer dimension (somewhere in the 58mm range IIRC), than the standard GT4088 which has the 64.7mm inducer.
