Gauge cluster intermittent prob...(searched)

Got a prob with my gauge cluster once in while, when I 1st crank truck. Truck starts and runs fine, the "CHECK GAUGE" light is on, but Tach and other gauges dont read. If I shut truck off and restart they all work fine. This only happens once in while, so really hasnt been a priority. But would like to figure out the cause.

this has been happening on my 96,the engine ran fine but cluster would drop out,i ended up changing my ignition switch last sunday and hasn't dropped out yet but it still may be too early

ok so it doesn't seem to be the ignition switch,dash quit this weekend after a long drive,i think fuse 17 is losing power but seems to been happening to quick lately for me to test,i will keep you posted
