Was going to help a family member change the glow plugs in his 99 super duty. He was curious what the best glow plug brand is. I am also curious of everyone's opinion on this.

Motorcraft and Bosch.

The cheaper Autolite's have a tendency to swell or break tips...

I thought I had heard Motocraft was the word wanted to reconfirm that. I think he said only three showed resistance. I will be glad to help him on this as I'm sure mine won't be far behind. We have never changed glow plugs, but hey he's got a nice warm garage:)

motorcraft glowplugs around 11$ a piece, stancore relay around 60$... 140-150$ plus a couple bucks for shipping and you should be set up nicely.

I was going to start a thread on this for awhile

Don't use bosch...

Had a friend with a truck had starting issues for a year all.ohmed out ok, finally swapped them out for motorcraft and now the truck starts fine.

Using a western plow relay that's been flawless for 2 years

i've compared alot of brands over the years and prefer motorcraft, but as far as aftermarket if motorcraft is not available the Delphi plugs are nice and for a cheap one ACdelco was pretty good! the main thing is to stay away from autolite
