h&s mini maxx race updates

I just got me h&s mini maxx race. Will updating it to the latest version from H&S Remove my ability to have dpf and egr delete or is it safe to do updates sent out?

All this delete stuff is still very touchy when it comes to posting it on a public forum, so contact who you bought it from if you have any questions. I'm sure they will help you.
