H&S Question

Can you use the Minimaxx as just gauges on a 2012 6.7?
Or do you have to program it to get gauges?
Looking to know because the truck is still under warranty, but dad wants a programmer for the extra gauges and for when the warranty goes bye bye.

I can't imagine spending $1k+ on a minimax and not running the H&S tuning. Even just the dpf on stuff...which shoudln't void the warranty and is in the + column across the board.

But yes, it can be run w/ factory tuning in a gauge mode.

If just want gauges you could get an Edge Insight.

If the dealership even smells a tuner on or near the truck its overwith anyways! 98.6% of the issues with any of these trucks are emissions related. Deleting the truck will save you troubles in the long run.

To answer your question, yes you can use the mini max as just gauges, but you cannot get an EGT reading w/o putting a bung in lower EGT pipe if you are leaving all that on. When the truck goes in to get worked make sure you pull the tuner out real quick just so it doesn't raise any eyebrows.

guys he wants to tune it later... hence wanting to use it as just a monitor now and using it to tune the truck later. I'm sure he's aware of the various monitors out there

We're not going to be using it just as gauges, it will eventually delete DPF/EGR and whatnot.
But until warranty runs out, we want to leave it stock and just have the extra gauges and whatnot.
