Fixing to buy an xrt pro for my boss, he has the 6.7, this unit is used but has been returned to stock. I can still get the unlock code for $100 right? Is the code only required for dpf delete or for use on the 6.7 period? Thanks

Yes you have to have an unlock code to run it on a 6.7 regardless if your gonna dpf delete it.

They do it for the newer LMLs too. Its probably due to the units availability to tune multiple models, the cost of software for LMLs and 6.7s were probably higher to tune, so instead of making units to tune all the other models for price A and then units to tune LML's and 6.7s for price B, they decide to keep all the units the same price C and if you would like to install on the LML or 6.7 you pay the extra unlock fee

The guy says it is unlocked, my truck is tuned, can I plug it in to the OBD port on my truck and check it to see that it is unlocked for sure? What will I need to look at in order to make sure?

Yeah I understand the Vin unlock deal. Just making sure that H&S unlock still unlocked both on and offroad tuning since it is an older tuner and the deal with them and the EPA went down. I did buy the tuner. The guy seemed like a good guy and legit.
