Yesterday I went and started my truck and the CTS said EOT was 48 the truck cranked like a champ but wouldnt fire. Smoked out the parking lot then finalled started running. Trucks got fresh 5w-40 Mobil 1 in it fuel filter changed 2000 miles. Fuel pressure is 60psi or above all times. Think I fried another relay? Sorry about the run on

EOT at 48 degrees I wouldn't think you would smoke out a parking lot if your glow plugs were kicking in. Pretty sure a 2002 should cycle the plugs on and off until it starts warming up. There was another thread just started by freightshaker talking about the relays and intake heater. Look in 7.3 tech, the tittle is "mpg seams low/trouble with cold start".

an 02 may have the solid state glow plug control.. but ohm out the UVCH's to the glow plug circuit.. 4 on each side, should be right about 2 ohms per.. high or open means bad glow plug,..
