Ok so i finnaly figured out what my heat issue is, blend door dont move. So my next problem is i will have like 4 hours to fix it once i get home from being out to sea. Then me and the wife and dogs are headed to MI where its good and cold right now. So i need to know if anybody on here has a nice redneck way to get the blend door moved? Im thinking of just cutting a hole in the bottom of the heater core box and pushing it over, then making a little sheet metal tab/cover for the hole to hold it in the right place. Anybody know where i should cut the hole or have a better idea? oh and if you dont mind since i cant get online much just txt it to 7576026815. thats my wifes cell. thanks.

Those "redneck" or "Presidential solutions" fixes never really work out. How do you know the blend door is stuck? Maybe the blend door actuator is not working. You should be able to get to the blend door actuator, it is behind the glove box door on top of the heater box. I have seen plenty of plugged heater cores, I just flush them with a garden hose and if that doesn't work I fill them with CLR and let them soak for a hour.
Yes it is cold here in Michigan, what part are you going to?

I'm his wife, I couldn't figure out his password, so I had to create my own account. Haha.

He doesn't know that it is the blend door, he is assuming at this point. He's currently out to sea. He will not be home until the morning of the day we are leaving. A friend of his has already flushed the heater core. It was certainly full of junk, but that still hasn't fixed the problem.

We are heading to Warren.

I've replaced my actuator motor. Had only defrost. Heat was fine but I'm assuming it stuck in that position. Once you yank the motor off you can physically turn the door though.
