Ballistic stuff looks good I checked it out in person when I was visiting PMF in Tucson it all had a real quality feel and most were rebuiladable

not sure what your contemplating ?
and you may know this already but for anyone else reading along:lookaround:

retrofitting Heims for steering linkages can be dangerous due to the stress on the bolt and some are a little noisy

i would at lest have double shear mounting for all of them

I just bought a truck with heim joint steering I'll crawl under there and see if it has a name on it. If you want any pics let me know

Ballistic has terrible customer service and often very long wait times

I use ruff stuff specialties for all of my heims and have had great customer service and 3 day delivery to my door

wanting to upgrade my steering parts that can handle the offroad abuse i give it. figure it would last longer than tie rod end joints.

u might talk to Trevor at PMF his shop is side by side with Ballistic
He might be able to set u up without the Ballistic drama

if I wanted to relive the strains of off road and a set of big tires I might look at RAM assist first

relieves a lot of pressures except for the tie rod ends

I went with Bulletproof Steering. I'm happy so far, the heim quality is top notch and my steering feels great!

That bullet proof steering looks like a lot to be running single sheer.

Keep in mind that a lot of states have laws against welded steering parts. If you care about that sort of thing.

High steer knuckle?? Ram assist being hydro steer right?

No for the pre-05 trucks you can change out your steering knuckle for a high steer knuckle. It makes a huge difference in steering for trucks lifted that high.

Here is my old setup. See how the drag link goes over the leaf spring. That is at 12.5" of lift and look at the angle of the drag link.

here is a view of the newer setup that I have. See the high steer knuckle and look at the angle of the drag link. that is at 14" of lift
