Diamond Audio would be pretty good, and MB quart used to be a great name, now they are owned by the conglomerate MaxxSonics (MB quart, Hifonics, Crunch, and AutoTek)

For the sub choices, when you are looking at raw output it comes down to cone area vs wattage, so 3 10's is only BARELY better than 2 12's (235.58in^2 vs 226.15in^2), unless they are equal wattage, say 300w per sub, and for the 3-10's you feed the package 900w's while the 2-12's you feed 600w. Trouble (but not really) with 3-10's you will have an odd resistance, which is easily worked with, but generally confusing to most who are new with car audio...

Components:

For components to me it really comes down to budget, overall goals, power source (amplifier or head unit) and installation considerations.

for most people I wouldn't spend more than $300 on a set unless you are willing to get a little creative on the installation of the speakers and plan on running an amplifier.

If you plan on sticking with head unit power, then I wouldn't spend more than $200, and honestly would second guess spending even $150.

For straight up recommendations these are ones I always consider...

A few years back these were the hottest set out there, even car audio magazine compared them with $500 sets, http://www.woofersetc.com/p-7929-rsd6cs-phoenix-gold-6-component-speaker-system.aspx

Alpine Type-R, http://www.woofersetc.com/p-9921-spr-60c-alpine-65-type-r-component-speaker-system.aspx

Alpine Type-X (Ref) - http://www.woofersetc.com/p-5812-spx-17ref-alpine-65-type-x-series-component-set.aspx

Boston Acoustic Pro60's - http://www.woofersetc.com/p-7526-pro60se-boston-acoustics-65-2-way-pro-series-component-system.aspx

CDT makes good stuff, just A LOT to choose from so its hard to pick a specific set

Focal makes good stuff, just pick something in your budget range and you will be solid for that price range.

Hertz HSK165's (Gare runs theses, and I think a few other people on here) - http://www.woofersetc.com/p-9612-hsk-165-hertz-65-2-way-hi-energy-component-system.aspx

Rainbow makes good stuff, but usually a bit pricey

That is certainly not an end all be all list, there are lots of great sets out there and really it comes down to your personal taste.

I have boston sr80 in the doors which are sepretes but thinking about selling them and going to components in the doors. Also i have a 4ch Alpine amp running the door speakers, and a phoneix gold xenon 600.1 mono which is
600w at 4 2 or 1 ohm. I may just end up getting type s components for the front, type s 5x7 for the rear and type s subs

Added a set of older style Mb Quart components in the doors and moved the boston sl80 to the rear.

Now to the subs but undecided
