How hot do valve covers get?

I'm wanting to Line X my valve covers, and of course my local dealer only sprays product rated to 200*. will this be sufficient? Or are they going to be hotter than 200*? Thanks.

I would guess there probably less than 200 but not sure. Wouldnt coating them like that hold heat in?

David they don't get hot

that would be the hottest they get on a close to 100 degree day with lots of engine heat.
Don't think there would be a problem.

I have rubberized spray on liner on my 2000 and its holding up fine.

I honestly don't know Brian, I didn't have the truck long and switched to different injectors when I did it. But I can help you do it to your truck next time I come out there, I should be there early February. We can find out if it will make a difference!
