If your looking to throw a grand at it to make it "last", buy a direct solenoid from GoGo, and a stallion converter from precision industries with 200 under stall. Should hold up for a bit, until your twist off your input shaft. If your really at 500 hp, and are worried about your trans being the weak link, bite the bullet before it leaves you stranded. I tried to baby mine, and barely got it home. I found a local trans guy i trusted, and ordered the parts myself. I put Elite's HD rebuild kit in, GoGo's solenoid, a triple disk converter, billet intermediate and input shaft. She runs cool, and will bark the tires going into second and third if the wind is blowing right. Lol. All i am saying is, do it right the first time.
