First...you need a lot of patience. Next...take your time taking apart the emblem. Don't force anything as you might break the plastic. I bought an extra set of emblems for my truck, F350 Lariat.

Part numbers:
Driver side: BC3Z-16720-CD
Pass Side: BC3Z-16720-CB

FYI - PTM tailgate handle: 8L3Z-9943400-BAPTM

Here goes

Get yourself an assortment of small tools

There are basically two major parts to the emblems....chrome border and the F250/F350.

First up, the chrome border. I started with the border. The border is held on with a plastic "hooks". Use a suitable tool to gently pry the plastic tab away from the hook.

Next up is the "Lariat" (if equipped)

The Lariat falls out once the border is removed. The chrome center between the letters the two "A"s and "R" needs to be gently pried out.

Next is the chrome in the "Super Duty"

Basically the chrome center is the same as the "Lariat" but with a twist. Between the "E" and "R" of "Super" is a minature plastic hook. You to gently seperate the plastic strip away from the chrome hook. You might be able to cut the little strip and glue the chrome to black plastic but I do NOT know.

Next up is the "F350". This requires the most patience. I can't stress enough..... you need to take your time here. You can very easily break the "fingers" on the "F", "3" and "5". The black plastic back of the "3" comes out. You have to work both the large and small hooks together. I can't stress enough, don't push to hard. If you push hard and the the hook pops free, you will break the chrome.

The "0" pops out from the back side.

Hope this helps. Once you start, all this will make sense. Now off to the paint shop.

Just using a plastic pry tool, they pop right out of the fender. Takes thirty seconds. Just did one at work cause the chrome was bubbling.

Great writeup! Did mine a few months ago and it's as easy as what you have pictured.
