Has anyone thought of getting another passenger side valve cover to put in the driver side, take the plug out of the oil rail and put another icp sensor in to put to a aftermarket HPOP gauge?

It's to close to the pump.
That's why it's located at the front of the passenger side. (Furthest point away from the HPOP)

Would it work for a gauge though? I don't like to splice wires.

Does the drivers side hold more pressure?

It's a solid, so it SHOULD all be the same pressure, but, as the injectors use the oil, the pressure drops off more and more down the line...so the highest pressure would still be closer to the pump, right.

The accuracy of the gauge is probably worse than a person thinks...so yeah, it would probably work for a gauge.

The gauge accuracy may be say +/-5% of full scale.
So 4000 x .05 =200
So at 4000 psi the pressure could be a y thing from 3800 to 4200 psi.
