Started my truck last night and was letting it warm up since the outside temp was 38*. Was packing the truck up with some things and the idle just jumped up about 2-300rpm's. I left it go for about 30sec to a min. To see if it would drop back, but it didn't. I reached in and tapped the gas pedal with my hand and it dropped right back to normal. A few min later it did the same thing again. Left it idle like that about 2-3 min. Never changed till I tapped the pedal again. Truck did this a few more times till it reached about 150*. Anyone have any thoughts on what may cause this? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes, it's part of the strategy. It's based on oil temp. If you put your foot on the brake or throttle, it goes away, but it will come right back as long as it's in park and you're not touching anything else. It's still not as high as the forced high idle, but it helps.
