I know this is a pretty general question, and I know there has been a few threads about this already, but I am starting to look for a new truck. Most likely I will be buying new, so I guess this would be geared more towards the 15's.
Right now I have a 2006 F250 that spends most of it's life parked in my shop collecting dust. I don't need a truck in my day to day life, but when I do, I really need a truck, both work and play. It is lifted on 37's and just not overly practical for me to drive everyday, not to mention it isn't the most comfortable ride (yes, I understand it is a 3/4 ton truck), and I can barely get better than 12mpg on a good day. For that reason I also have a 2012 Tahoe that I DD. It is a great truck. It is comfortable and it rides nice, two things I want/need for a DD. But, I only muster about 15 mpg on it, I pay insurance on them because I need both vehicles, and o the maintenance on both. So I am really thinking of trading both in on a new F350 and get the best of both worlds all wrapped into one. Both trucks are paid for, which is part of the reason I haven't done anything yet...
For a DD I do want decent mileage, comparable to my Tahoe. Realistically, are you guys with 15's getting anywhere near that in stock form? Is the urea a PITA? This truck will stay stock (I know, famous last words) other than a few bolt on and appearance items. No deletes. :lame:
If I buy, I will end up with a pretty well loaded truck with nut coolers and all (this AZ heat is killer), but is there any interior package/color that you like over another?
Is the ride that much better than my old '06? Will I be anywhere near the comfort of my Tahoe?
What are you guys getting loaded SD's for? Around here they want 58k+ (non-Platinum). I do have an X-plan pin that I can use, but that doesn't seem to take much off the top...I have almost been tempted to take a look at the new Ram. A comparably equipped truck is at least 6k less before haggling! :jawdrop:
