I have 3 rules when mounting something.
1...I can see it.
2...I can't see any wires.
3...nothing stuck to the windshield.
So...I made my own mount today out of .050 stainless and came up with this:

Obviously the wires are there but completely out of sight unless you really try to see them.

Here's the dimensions in case anyone wants to duplicate it.

Nice and clean... Only thing I do not like is how it lifts up the plastic surround, but I guess there is no way around that!

Lifts up?
It doesn't touch anything...it's just sorta floating there. The wires passing between panels are the only things that touch anything.

OOOOPPS...maybe it is the reflection/shadow! it looked like to the right of the Insight the plastic lifts up... Disregard me, I'm obviously blind!

Is the bracket just wedged into the surround of the cup holders, or did you actually screw it in some way? Would the Mosconi 6to8 controller fit there?

Double sided tape....I love that stuff. LOL
As far as the controller...I'm not sure but I'll find out pretty soon.
