Just bought a loaded out 08 KR CCSB with 122k on the clock for 12 thousand even. The turbo is smoked in it. I couldnt pass this deal up. The truck is gorgeous! Its at Powerstroke Enginuities for a new turbo, deletes and tuning. Question on the turbo. Should I go back with a factory turbo or while its up go ahead and do a small upgrade? Who would I get it from and whats really good? The wifey will be driving it most of the time maybe pulling a small horse trailer or we may pull the 4 wheelers to the offroad park every once in awile and other than that, just a grocery getter. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Alot of people doing singles here. I guess its worth it? How much more for a single setup than a stocker? Im guessing a 71mm with just tuning and exhaust...agreed?

I think singles are a bit of a novelty.

Hear me out... they make great power, and you can tune them to run well. Especially at our altitude. But you can do a nice atmospheric upgrade for the same or less. And when you do a single, you cut your resale market down to a very few enthusiasts.

I love the way they sound, and I've been tempted to do a single setup on my F250, but I can't bring myself to do so. I can sell the truck right now for what I've got in it, but as soon as I go single, the resale takes a big hit :(

BUT, I'm a cheap ass, and I change trucks often. I like making money or at least breaking even on my trucks. Been doing it for almost 15yrs. It sure beats a truck note! :D

gotcha..Im guessing Ill just do the batmo upgrades to the stockers

Save yourself. Go to an upgraded factory set (not batmo's) like two powers or equivalent or a plain stock set. Pm me, we have several options that will help you out and can keep you within a decent budget. Or call the shop at 217-691-1909. Be glad to talk it over with ya.

I have a couple sets of stockers if you just want to get the thing up and going. I think best bang for the buck upgrade is a 71-72 atmosphere. I'm not a big fan of batmo wheels

FOr that input I guess Ill just do the batmo upgrades?

No, doubt. That's a terrible waste of money considering what can be done with a drop in armosphere turbo. Even a cheaper 71mm drop in will out preform the batmos, well depending on who builds it.

Let me know if you need pricing!
