I am lifting my truck 6 inches. I am going to be running 37" tires. Its a 2010 f250 5r110 tranny and 3.55 gears. will i need to change my gear ratio in the front and rear axel for this size tire. if so what if i go with 35" tires?

thanks for the input guys.

It really depends on what you re doing with it. If you're hauling/towing, then yeah, gear it. If it's a daily commuter, then a set of gears might help, but not required, it's personal preference at that point.

i had the same question as the OP. will my dyno numbers and track times be significantly lower with 3:55 vs 3:73? running a 35" tire.

No might actually help by putting a load on the dyno.

There was a guy that ran 12.7 on 37s and 3.55s couple years back. Obviously you will go faster with smaller tires but a lower ratio won't help

i have a 3.55 gear ratio on my 2011 and im going to 36/1550/20 tires today in the mickey thompson ATZs and they are compareable to most 37s height wise.

mine did fine with the 35s on it now and it will do just fine with the 37s

should know how well it will do with 37s in a few hours

I'm actually having the same dilema. I'm putting 37's on next week and I was worried about the 3.73's I have in the truck now. Good to know it's no biggie.
