I have read the owners manual and have reviewd fords PDF insteuctions and Searched but could still not figure this out.

I located the 4 wires under the dash
but here's the dilemma.
I got a 20 " from ATP and it comes with a nice harness and switch. I want to eliminate the switch and us the #1 up lifter.
Problem =harness has 3 wires, blue/black/white and up lifter is single yellow wire, how do I make this work?

Also provided harness has a 30 amp inline fuse, & the #1 lifter has the same.
Is that an issues?
I'm not all that good with electrical but really want to learn, so any advice I'd appricated.
Thanks

Here is what I'm looking at. Main light harness to connection then to switch.
I'm not sure on what they do, did not come with Instructuons.
Could it be because the led bar is a flood/spot combo?
I will say It's a really nice setup if you want there switch, just two leads to the battery and run the wiring.

Zilla, how would I wire that up when the wire for #1 switch is just a single yellow wire?
That's where I'm lost.

I'm checking into that for you, but DO NOT WIRE WHITE AND BLUE together, you will melt the harness down!! I've seen my customers do this many many times.

see if those help you
Thanks a lot, helps tons! Was no where near what I was thinking.

Wait on edit. It still makes me question the white and blue, both power?
Which one gets hooked to wire under hood?
And if lifter switch is powered then I need to leave out the other color right?
But if that's the case it sounds like I will hacking up the provided harness.

So here is what I'm thinking.
the light has two wires red/black coming off it and up to relay.
At really it comes out with red/black to battery.
then off the relay again comes the 3 wires to the switch.

So could I cut the red/black wires before it goes into the relay and then just follow the video?
Do I need the relay? Does the up lifter already have one?
.thanks again.

The upfitter already has a power in and ground. The loose wire is essentially a power out. It should power the lights, and just chassis ground the lights if that us the purpose of the light harnesses ground.

Shoot a pic of the rest of the harness the lights came with. The only thing that needs to be hooked to an upfitter is a single positive wire. Black gets grounded to the body/frame or battery

One of those wires at the switch activates the relay. That is the one you want to hook the upfitter to. One of them is power coming from the source, most likely the red wire. The other is a ground wire, probably coming from the black wire. The purpose of the ground wire is for the lighted switch.

It if were ME, I would use a multimeter to determine which wires is connected to where. One should have continuity with the red wire, one with the black wire. I would ignore those two and hook to the third. Or, I'd separate the harness at the relay and determine which wires go where.

Well here's what I got to work.
I cut out the relay, the 3 wires, the power and fuse hook up and just used the two wires coming off the light bar.
(Only needed one cut so it's still usable)

I then followed what the guy in the first video did.
Works great so far. Going back and cleaning up the connections now.

sounds like you got it then, on the outfitters from what I've seen, you just need a power wire (red from light) to the pigtail, ground (black wire on light) to frame and everything else is built in.
