Have a 20" light bar I'm trying to mount in the factory fog light location. Any advice on how you have mounted yours or brackets used? Pictures would help. Wanted to use factory fog light brackets, but doesn't appear that will work.

There are brackets for the bumper mount that are easy to use. Just use a piece of steel strap to extend the mounts to those bumper brackets.

Thought about coming off the bumper brackets, but it seemed like the bar would stick out the front of the bumper too far. My bar just has the post style brackets on either end.

I have done this to mine and you need two pieces of 1" angle iron and a welder. A tad bit of trimming is needed also. I used a dremmel. AWESOME mod imo. I got mine from a local dealer here close to me. www.plashlights.com

looks better in the 05-07s bumpers. More square. We dont buy brackets if we can build them when its so easy :blitzed:

Yep. It's not too hard as long as you have the raw material and the tools (especially a welder) available. But it's sometimes easier, less frustrating, and less expensive to buy something ready for install.

if anyone's interested in the bars themselves. we're dealers.

I used a few small pieces of angle and welded to the tow hook plates like stated

I don't have a welder. Its mounted for now but it needs to come forward some more. May have to just bite the bullet and buy the bulletproof brackets at some point. :fustrate:

All done... Flush with the bumper and working. Stupid bright! Great add to the front of any stroke.
