Its about time that I need some new tires. I currently run Toyo Open Country M/T in a 37x13.50r17. Problem is I can't find anymore of these tires to save my life. I don't want to make a switch but I may have to. I need tires with good performance and decent tread life. Either a 13.50 or 12.50. What has everyone else run?

I have ran the Nitto M/T 37/12.50/20 for over 25k and still have thread left for another 10k or more. I tow a few times a month, mostly highway miles. I keep them properly inflated and rotated throughout the year. The tire has a noticeable hum as it started wearing but not too bad. That's all M/T tires though.
Also Toyo and Nitto are the same company I believe.

I looked all over for a set of 37" toys on17" wheels when I lifted my truck in April. Still can't find any. I know that "fuel" tires have a 37" on 17, and it's an exact clone of the open country m/t. I haven't tried them though, and don't know anyone that has.
I currently have a set of Nitto A/T right now and they are wearing fine. Have nearly 18K on them and have plenty tread left, at least 60% or more. I tow all the time and keep them rotated and inflated.
I had a set of Wrangler MT/Rs on my old super duty and those were great tires. Lasted quite a while for an M/T on such a heavy truck.

Don't have any experience with the fuel tires but I have read that they come apart after 20 miles.

My Nitto experience is they are sort of soft and didn't last (that was a few years back so they may have improved)

Toyo's web site shows they still make them so a local guy should be able to order them

Anyone ever tried Falken Wild Peak A/Ts ??

Got them on my wifes Tahoe, 5K on them and they still look new; 295/70/17. Had no issue going through 11 inches of unplowed snow at the beginning of last week in 4wd and no issues in 2wd on packed snow for the rest of the week. Quiet on dry pavement, great wet traction. I'd put them on my 350 this spring, but I don't think the 35x12.5x18 don't come in load E and I want a more aggressive tread pattern.

I have had good luck with mickey thompson tires. I had MTZ's on my 150 that last 65K miles and on my SD I have ATZ that are almost to 10,000 miles and look brand new yet. I do rotate every 5K miles and keep track of tire pressure which can help any tire last. I like the ATZs quite a bit though. They seem stiff enough to tow with and not walk all over the place with a heavy load like some other tires
